Sweating The Small Stuff Really Matters

Where does that thing called confidence really come from?

Is it something you are just born with or are we able to grow our confidence over a period of time? Yes, it would appear that a few individuals just have it. But as someone that had it, lost it fully, and had to build it all back from nothing, I'm going to say you can do some pretty interesting things with building some iron belief in your life.

Those who lose their confidence often never earn it back because they don't know what to do to when it comes time to building strong character traits. While it can be a tumultuous landscape to navigate, there is a way to bring confidence back into your life.

There are these little things I really like to call momentum builders that help you create confidence over time. Confidence, and the development of long lasting confidence comes from the activity of sweating the details, the tiny stuff, the things that most people often overlook. Why are these momentum builders important? Because when you can nail the little details down, and really knock those out of the park day in and day out, you build yourself some forward movement. You essentially get yourself out of the mud and heading in a direction.

Confidence, when it really comes down to it, is built from trust in yourself. When you trust yourself you can tell yourself with full belief that you are capable of succeeding in anything that you want to do. That trust only comes from having integrity with the small daily actions in life. If you can do those things right, you can do the big things in life right.

So don't listen to conventional wisdom that says, "Don't sweat the small stuff." Sweat it. Make sure you sweat it. Focus on the little things in life and they will help you build the momentum to tackle bigger goals.

When you start to build some serious momentum in your life, there's no stopping you. Instead of focusing on huge goals to give you that momentum, think about the small daily activities that will help you get there.

Isn't that a much better way to live life?

Focus on the little things. They will make the world of a difference.

Technical Information On Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ESAS)

A new factory or industrial installation is usually a project that evokes great interest, and one which people spend enormous sums on. They also dedicate large amounts of time and attention to the project. The planning and forecasting which go into the project are copious, and part of these are the Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ESAS). This is an environmental assessment which is performed in order to detect the natural profile of the project area and what threats it contains, as well as its general suitability.

The environment needs to be taken into account and assessed. The modern attitude is that it should be recognized as deserving of respect. The opinion that pollution is insignificant or that the environment should be taken for granted is outdated and is not adhered to by modern governments or the community.

The overarching philosophy of developers should therefore be that the environment should be protected and conserved. The public and the authorities will not tolerate the approach that environmental questions can be ignored or that pollution is something that people should simply live with. In extreme cases, opposition to a development can actually lead to official sanction and termination, or at least the intervention of the authorities.

An ESAS incorporates several aspects of the environment that indicate its safety and suitability in terms of the development and human health. They are all important and they should all be given attention in deciding whether the area is suitable for the project.

One of these is the nature of the soil. Soil is important in assessing the environment because it absorbs and stores substances. Dangerous chemicals seep into the soil (a process known as leaching). These chemicals may originate from a variety of sources, such as dead animals, rotting plant matter or simply the rain. The soil then becomes poisoned and is not suitable for agriculture or other activities.

Another aspect to be examined is the plant matter. This examination may revolve around two factors - whether the plants are desirable, and secondly whether they are healthy.

The water in the site area is an important indicator of the chemicals present there. Water stores many different chemicals, and poisons are no exception to this. Where the water is poisoned, plants and animals are also poisoned by using it.

The water in the area also needs to be assessed. This is an easy assessment because the water harbors the toxins that are present in the soil and plants.

These are all significant aspects in the environmental assessment. In general, developers should not try to skimp on the assessment or eliminate it from their planning.

Male Suffers Heart Attack After Property Foreclosure, Chase Sued

JPMorgan Chase is being sued for a foreclosure, but not in the way many would expect. A wrongful death suit has been submitted against the bank after a male had a heart attack after foreclosure. The lawsuit contends Chase brought on the death of Harry Engel by heart attack in 2010.

Family blames bank for heart attack

Seventy-nine year old Harry Engel's family told the news that they had lived in the same house for 22 years. Then, JPMorgan Chase forced them out in foreclosure proceedings. Shortly thereafter, in July 2010, he experienced a heart attack, according to KHOU. His family blames the bank for his condition.

The Engel family wanted to refinance through the Making House Affordable Program with the Department of Treasury because they lived on a fixed income and wanted a lower rate. The local Chase branch told them that they had to miss a payment to be able to qualify for the program, and they did so.

The bank then apparently started the program, but canceled their enrollment. Late fees and updates started arriving, followed by a notice that foreclosure was pending. He had his heart attack after foreclosure warnings arrived, along with a Chase attorney advising that eviction was pending.

A suit from the widow

Wando Jo Engel is his wife who is suing Chase for wrongful death, according to the Huffington Post. Chase was in the early phases of filing for foreclosure though it had not actually filed the paperwork yet. The Engel family was not the only family that was told to miss a payment in order to get in the refinancing program just for the bank to change its mind and not keep going.

Earlier this year, five of the biggest mortgage lenders in the country settled with the government for $25 billion due to "robosigning" and other inappropriate practices, according to the Los Angeles Times. Part of it was "servicer-led foreclosure," which was what this is called and was talked about in 2010 in a U.S. Senate Banking Committee, according to the Washington Post.

The Huffington Post explained that a servicer-led foreclosure went wrong this year at Bank of America too. Pamela Flores in Georgia was told the same thing from B of A just to have the modification not work out and foreclosure to follow, according to the Huffington Post. The Engel family is not alone.

Just a couple deaths

Besides the financial toll that foreclosures impose, numerous individuals have crumbled from the mental anguish, leading to a number of "foreclosures suicides." Some of the first instances were noticed in 2008, according to USA Today. During that year, suicide hotlines started noting an increased number of calls from distressed homeowners who were having problems with their loans. At least two have been recorded this year, according to the Huffington Post, one in May in California and a murder-suicide in Ohio in March.
